How to use the mini keg and C02 dispenser

The 5L & 10L mini kegs are a really great solution for any homebrewer to store, carbonate and serve their brew. They’re amazing quality, easy to use and give brilliant results!

Step 1
Brewing your beer

Fed up with cleaning and sanitising 100’s of bottles for your latest brewing creations? Use the Dark Farm 5L or 10L mini kegs instead! They are easy to clean and are compact and convenient. Once your beer has finished fermentation and is ready for bottling, simply pour your brew into your 5L or 10L mini keg. We would recommend buying the pressure release cap if you are storing you beer for a long period or are priming it.

Step 2
Priming your beer

The 5L and 10L mini kegs are a great way to store your beer. The kegs can hold high pressure and can be used to prime your beer. So if you are brewing something which needs some bubbles you can either prime your beer using sugar or force carbonate using the C02 tap and regulator.

Step 3
Ready to pour

Once you feel your brew is ready – or if you’re anything like me and simply can’t waiting any longer – add the CO2 tap. You can top up the kegs pressure using the C02 regulator. The kegs can then be stored in the fridge for that perfect cold brew. When you are ready to pour, reduce the pressure if you have been force carbonating. A CO2 cartridge will last you around 2 x 5L kegs or 1 x 10L keg depending on usage.
